Raw Material
T-shirt "N94" from Continental Clothing (CC). The shirt has a deep neckline with wide armholes. It is hemmed at all sides.
The shirt is made from 100% Lyocell (TENCEL Ÿ). TENCEL Ÿ is a nanofiber of Eucalyptus trees that optimally absorbs moisture from the skin. Keeps cool in the heat. Delicate jersey, diaphanous fabric. Fabric weight equates to 120 g/m2 (4.95oz/y2). Soft, elastic, very light, dries quickly and can be folded to a very small size.
Machine washable at 30 °C. Always iron inside out at level 1.
Ecological and ethical orientation
TENCEL Ÿ is made from cellulose taken exclusively from eucalyptus wood that has been certified by the FSC, and it currently the most environmentally friendly cellulose fibre being made industrially. The fiber’s closed production process is particularly environmentally friendly. The only chemical used during the production process is Amine oxide. The non-toxic solvent is constantly reused in a closed production circuit and is 99% recyclable. This production process was given the European Business Award for the Environment in the category “Technology Award for Sustainable Development” in the year 2000.
The shirt meets the Oeko-Tex Standard 100, Class 1. This standard guarantees that textiles and dyes do not harm health or the environment, and that a water treatment obligation is in place to protect local waters.
The Fair Wear Foundation (FWF) promotes fair working conditions in the textile industry worldwide.
The printing plant obtains its dyes from the company Sericol Ltd., which carries the certificate of the quality management system ISO 9000. In comparison to conventional inks, these plastisol inks are environmentally friendly and not damaging to health. In 1993 Sericol was awarded the enironmental prize of the British Queen.
